Adventurer at heart Charly Vigné is convinced that will is the driving force behind all change. This is why she has been working for several years to imagine and carry out projects that carry meaning, sensations and emotions. She contacted Feed.back to submit a crazy project. Ambitious. Feminist. Ecological. And we helped him achieve it.
An extraordinary adventure.
This adventure begins with 6 young women from varied backgrounds: Charly, Laura, Marine, Sarah, Soukayna and Typh.
Each of them has personal goals, limits to push, things to prove. Together they took on the challenge of conquering one of the Seven Summits: Kilimanjaro which peaks at more than 5890m. “ We have no celebrities among us, just normal people with a common desire to surpass themselves and show that it is possible. ”
To go beyond your limits.
This eco-responsible 15-day ascent – including 8 days of ascent with an extremely low oxygen level – began in October 2019. With the altitude the oxygen level drops and the physical effort to complete the ascent requires a lot of determination, training and preparation beforehand. Each adventurer had to confront her own physical and mental limits to cope with this lack of oxygen but also with extreme temperatures, lack of comfort and permanent fatigue. A challenge that they all took on since they reached the summit, together.
To make things change.
It is a project with real ecological significance. In less than 20 years, the last glacier atop the roof of Africa will have completely disappeared. To raise awareness about climate change, they were accompanied by two directors, equipped with cameras, GoPro and drones, in order to film the adventure and produce a powerful documentary.
How did Feed.back help them achieve this adventure?
Feed.back supported this project through financial and material assistance as well as media exposure. If you also want to apply for the Feed.back program, submit your project.
