Why should you consume smart food?
Humans have existed for over 200,000 years. However, over the last 150 years, our planet has seen a great deal of climatic change.
Food consumptions norms have had a devastating impact on our planet. Intensive farming and pollution has caused major damage to our planet. It has also caused health problems for many, many people. Instances of obesity, cardiovascular disease and hypertension have all drastically increased in recent years.
Thankfully, nowadays there are new and modern ways of consuming food that does not lead to such a negative impact on our plant.
Why is smart food so useful?
❗️This article is not intended to encourage people to replace traditional food with smart food. Instead, it is designed to highlight the positive impact that smart food can have on our health and the environment.❗️
Tomorrow’s food must consider the problems relating to overconsumption of resources, overpopulation and environmental pollution.
The resources (water and food) required when producing meat are substantially more than those required to produce plant-based foods (cereals, vegetables, fruits).
On average, we consume:
– 10 times more water to produce 1kg of red meat than for 1kg of plant-based foods (an average of 200g of protein in both cases).
– 30 times more land is required for the production of 1kg of red meat than for the production of 1kg of plant-based foods.
– Greenhouse gas emissions are 100 times higher in the process of producing 1kg of food from animal sources than in the production of 1kg of plant-based foods.
When all of this is taken into account, it becomes easier to understand why smart food is an environmentally responsible alternative.
All Feed. meals are vegan and our bottles are made from 30% recycled plastic and are 100% recyclable. We are continually working to improve our packaging so that we continue to provide products which respect the environment in which we live in.
With the pace of modern life, the time spent preparing and then eating meals continues to decrease. Cooking healthy meals and eating around the dinner table can take up time that you do not necessarily have.
With this in mind, smart food provides a convenient and balanced solution that allows you to save time and focus on the things you need to do or enjoy doing. Nevertheless, there is no need to stop cooking altogether or give up eating with your friends or family. Smart food just looks to provide another option that will help facilitate your daily life.
A Feed. meal never takes more than 1 minute to prepare!
While it is important to have a balanced and varied diet, we understand that it is not always easy to put it in practise every day.
Consumers are increasingly looking for a quick fix. Fast food restaurants are nearly always the first port of call for many people. However, the meals these “restaurants” offer are not always very nutritious. Even what many people consider to be “healthier” options, such as salads, may often be no better than the meals on offer at these places.
This is why smart food is often such a useful alternative. Nutritionally balanced, smart food meals are not only practical but also considerably healthier than many other options available on the market.
Feed meals. are complete meals that provide you with all the nutrients, vitamins and minerals your body requires.
This is not new, the prices of consumer goods are increasing year on year. Food is certainly no exception to the rule.
Smart food helps ensure an optimal intake of various nutrients in one single meal. New technologies have enabled cost-effective solutions by reducing the amount of food required for a balanced diet.
A Feed. meal is available from as little as €2.40.
Interest in smart food continues to grow, particularly now that people are beginning to realise that it can have such a positive environmental impact.
Each initiative contributes to the economy of resources and provides new and innovative ways of conceiving and producing food.
