Protein is a macronutrient that contributes to the renewal and construction of muscles, hair, skin, nails, and bones.

To avoid drawing on muscle reserves (loss of muscle mass), it is important to regularly incorporate protein into our diets. Our muscles work tirelessly everyday and need to be “repaired” very regularly: a process that requires a lot of protein.

Depending on how physically active someone is, it takes between 1.2g and 2g of protein per kilogram of body weight per day to develop muscle mass.

In this table, we consider that someone consumes the same amount of protein at each meal (breakfast, lunch, and dinner). However, in reality, nobody sees their protein intake evenly distributed in this way.

A Feed. SPORT meal provides you with an average 50g of protein (5 scoops). The size of our sachets (680g or 2.55kg) allows you to adapt your portions according to your own individual needs.

All Feed. products are vegan, so we are careful to ensure that all essential amino acids are found in each of our meals. The combination of cereals (oats) and vegetables (pea protein) allows us to do so.

People often believe that the higher the protein intake, the greater the muscle mass gain, however, that is not always the case.

Carbohydrates are essential in athletes’ diets because they provide the energy their bodies need for muscle contraction.

Carbohydrates with a high glycemic index should be used during or just before (30min) a workout to provide a quick burst of energy.

Carbohydrates with a low glycemic index are gradually assimilated by the body and should be consumed at least 90 minutes before physical activity and during recovery for the constitution of glycogen reserves (glucose reserves in the liver and muscles).

Fatty acids are used to provide energy and are used in the composition of nerve fiber.

Therefore, it is important to have a good lipid intake, especially for prolonged physical activity during which they will be used the most.

That’s why we have chosen high-quality lipids with ideal nutritional properties: yellow flaxseeds (omega-3 fatty acids) and sunflower oil (monounsaturated fatty acids).

Our sunflower oil, obtained from sunflower seeds, is rich in monounsaturated fatty acids, vitamin E, and antioxidants. Yellow flaxseeds are rich in omega 3, particularly ⍺-linolenic acid. The latter is the only fatty acid that is essential in our diet as it cannot be synthesized by the body. It is the base for many other molecules that are beneficial to your overall health: anti-inflammatory drugs, lipemia regulators, retinal protectors and essential components of cells, blood vessels and neurons.

Vitamins and minerals are essential to the proper functioning of the body, especially when we exercise regularly. Each Feed. SPORT meal covers 33% of the daily requirements of vitamins and minerals.
